Episode 23: How Minerals Run the Show with Morley Robbins

Minerals, like enzymes, are a foundational part of human health. Without minerals, the spark plugs of life called enzymes cannot function. Due to acid rain, toxic fertilizer and tap water, our food supply is not what it used to be. As a result, nearly everyone on the globe has copper disfunction, iron overload and severe magnesium deficiency. In this interview Morley Robbins educates us about those elements and their role in our body.⁣

We also talk about solutions such as blood donation, whole food vitamin C and beef liver.⁣

Episode 26: Where Magnesium Fits Into the Puzzle with Morley Robbins

What if humans like to make things more complex than they need to be? What if every human on the planet is magnesium deficient because its no longer in our soil and the antagonists to it are being megadosed in our produce? What if all forms of heart disease are caused by magnesium deficiency? Morley Robbins returns to the show to discuss all of this and how Maggie fits into the copper and iron mosaic.

Episode 29: My Full Monty Iron Panel Results with Morley Robbins

What is the most important test to have done? Does bloodwork have to be expensive? Who decides the ideal ranges? In this third interview with Morley Robbins he helps me breakdown my Full Monty lab results with easy to understand analogies.⁣

Where we measure iron changed in the 1970s. We used to look in the right spot and now we look in the wrong spot (ferritin). To get a complete picture of iron status we have to look at TIBC, UIBC, hemoglobin, serum iron, iron saturation, transferritin, and perhaps most importantly, ceruloplasmin. And that isn’t even the whole picture as you’ll hear in the interview!⁣
