Taurine is a multifunctional compound known for its potential benefits as a cell-protecting agent.
Taurine plays a vital role in regulating cell volume, calcium homeostasis, and membrane stabilization. It is also believed to act as an antioxidant by scavenging free radicals and regulating antioxidant enzymes.
