You’ve learned the science. You’ve read the books. You’ve listened to the podcasts.

But deep down, you know there’s something more…
a missing link between knowing and embodying true healing.

That’s why we created Ignite the Innate Healer, a live, in-person conference designed to reconnect you to the heart of the Root Cause Protocol.

It’s not just about minerals or lab results… it’s about remembering that your body was designed to heal, and learning how to trust that again.

Over two transformative days, you’ll join Morley Robbins, creator of The Root Cause Protocol, and a lineup of world-class speakers, including Professor Jamie Collins, Dr. Ben Edwards, James Berry, Dr. Shelley Cole, Dr. Jonathan CotterMartha Carlin, Dr. Michael Gossweiler, Dr. Catherine Julia (CJ) Mort and more, for a blend of science, story, and celebration.

Together, we’ll explore what it truly means to ignite the innate healer within each of us, by understanding the biochemistry of vitality, the emotional roots of dis-ease, and the practical steps that create lasting transformation.

Whether you’re an RCP practitioner, student, or someone passionate about healing, this event will leave you renewed, inspired, and deeply connected to a global community of truth seekers.

Who’s speaking at the conference?

Morley M. Robbins, MBA, CHC, is the creator of the Root Cause Protocol, a system designed to “ignite energy” in the body by restoring mineral balance. With a background in biology and healthcare administration, he has spent over a decade researching how copper, iron, and magnesium influence energy production and overall metabolic health. Through his teachings in the Root Cause Protocol Institute, community, and book [Cu]re Your Fatigue, Second Edition, he continues to educate and inspire people worldwide to take control of their health by addressing the true root causes of fatigue and dysfunction.

Professor Jamie Collins has broad training and expertise in physiology, molecular biology, genetics, and nutrition, and he has been involved in biomedical research for over 25 years. Dr. Collins’ formal post-baccalaureate educational training includes master’s studies in molecular biology, doctoral studies in molecular physiology at Vanderbilt University and post-doctoral work in transport physiology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Collins’ research previously focused on molecular aspects of intestinal sodium and phosphate absorption, but more recently, over the past 15 years or so, his research efforts have shifted to the investigation of iron metabolism and how this is influenced by copper, with a particular focus on mechanisms of intestinal transport of these essential nutrients. This is an important area of research, as body iron homeostasis, unlike most other nutrients, is controlled principally at the level of intestinal absorption since no active excretory systems exist in humans or other mammals.

Studies over the past 10+ years have identified copper-dependent aspects of intestinal iron transport. Ongoing studies relate to iron supplementation and how this negatively impacts copper homeostasis (e.g. in pregnancy), and to development of therapeutic approaches to modulate intestinal iron absorption in various disease states (e.g., hereditary hemochromatosis and β-thalassemia). Model systems include wild-type and genetically engineered (knockout) laboratory mice and rats, as well as surgical human intestinal tissues. Commonly used experimental techniques include molecular biology methods such as qRT-PCR and western blotting, radiotracer iron and copper absorption studies (by oral, intragastric gavage), quantification of iron in blood and tissues (using various methods including ICP-MS), a variety of physiological techniques, and Ussing chamber analysis to determine mechanistic (and kinetic) aspects of nutrient absorption.

The Collins laboratory is staffed predominantly by Nutritional Sciences doctoral students, several of whom have graduated over the past few years. Funding for his work has been competitively awarded by the National Institutes of Health (NIDDK, ODS) for the past 15+ years.

James Barry is a professional chef with over 20 years of experience whose culinary career began as a private chef for celebrities including Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Gerard Butler, Mariska Hargitay, Barbra Streisand, and John Cusack. He is the Founder and CEO of Pluck, the first organ-based, nutrient-dense seasoning that makes it easy and delicious to add the benefits of organ meats to any meal.

James is also a published cookbook author, having co-authored the recipes in Eat Naked by Margaret Floyd and Clean 7 by Dr. Alejandro Junger, and is the author of The Naked Foods Cookbook. He hosts the popular podcast Everyday Ancestral, where he explores how traditional wisdom and modern life intersect to support better health, sustainability, and regenerative farming.

Dr. Jon Cotter is a family physician.  After studying psychobiology and music at Oberlin College, Jon studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and kung fu, and entered into clinical practice as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine.  Recognizing a need to broaden his skills, Jon then went to med school in England, completed Family Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin, was certified in Functional Medicine, and then entered into clinical practice as a family doctor and ER physician.  When Jon had a car accident with severe traumatic brain injury, a number of clinical complications developed which he was entirely unable to impact with any of the academic preparation he had enjoyed until that time.  Encountering the Root Cause Protocol was to pave the way not only for healing of his personal health issues, but was to empower and deepen his work as a physician.

Over the past decade, Jon has focused largely on holistic neuropsychiatry, working primarily in collaboration with naturopaths, therapists, and holistic colleagues- to find that none of our colleagues, across the spectrum of clinical disciplines, had been given a balanced and comprehensive understanding of many foundational principles, including the process of cellular energy generation.  As he had shared with Morley and the RCP family, “I became a physician in the ER in the middle of the night.  I became a clinician when certain concepts, like puzzle pieces that had been excluded from everyone’s curricula, were presented with the RCP, providing a more complete vision of our physiology”.

Ben Edwards, MD, is a board-certified family physician whose journey from conventional medicine to integrative healing was sparked by a patient’s unexpected recovery from celiac disease. After earning his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his medical degree from UT-Houston, he completed his residency at the Waco Family Practice Program, where his eyes were opened to a new understanding of the body’s innate ability to heal.

Through years of research, training, and collaboration with leading integrative physicians, Dr. Edwards has helped countless patients reverse chronic conditions once thought incurable. He now teaches that true healing begins when we remove what harms the body, replace what’s missing, and trust the body’s design to restore balance, an approach closely aligned with the Root Cause Protocol philosophy. He is the founder and CEO of Veritas Medical and Veritas Wellness headquartered out of Lubbock.

Martha Carlin, RCPC & Founder & CEO, BiotiQuest® and The BioCollective, is a systems thinker, entrepreneur, and microbiome researcher whose groundbreaking work bridges biology, physics, and health restoration.
