Ed P | The Root Cause Protocol helped with my Inflammaging

How long have you been following the Protocol?
30 days

What health issues/symptoms led you to the protocol?

Inflammaging within a variety organs and tissues.

What changes have you seen in your health from starting/following the protocol?

My symptoms are incrementally improving by the week.

What is the most significant change you have experienced from the protocol?

More energy for my sprinting workouts.

What would you say to someone who is considering RCP but unsure about starting the RCP?

This is truly a “root cause” solution to aging and chronic illness. It is science-based and well-documented with Random Control Trial (RCT) data as well as a plethora of documented scientific research – Morely Robbins quotes them all throughout his educational videos. Additionally, his RCP team provides many tools and extensive content to help you transition your way through this protocol raising the probability of your achieving good health.

“As a board-certified family medicine physician with over 16 years of experience, I have spent much of my career searching for a framework that truly explains why so many patients—and clinicians—are exhausted, inflamed, and stuck despite “normal” labs and well-intended care.

I trained conventionally, pursued integrative medicine early, and remained open-minded throughout my career. Yet despite years of experience and additional training, I never found a model that fully connected stress, metabolism, mineral balance, and energy production in a way that was both scientifically rigorous and clinically actionable. That gap eventually led to professional burnout and a deep sense that I was still missing the root cause.

My introduction to Morley Robbins’ work was not dramatic—it was timely. As I began reading Cure Your Fatigue, I quickly recognized something rare: a practitioner who truly understood biochemistry and could explain chronic symptoms through principles of physiology. The Root Cause Protocol didn’t contradict my medical training; it challenged me to complete it—to revisit assumptions I had accepted for years and to return to primary sources rather than dogma.

The RCP Institute provided the structure, depth, and accountability I had been missing. The curriculum was demanding, comprehensive, and unlike anything I had encountered in medicine—connecting mineral dynamics, mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, and hormonal signaling into a coherent whole. This was not trend-based functional medicine or protocol stacking; it was upstream physiology.

What surprised me most was how grounding the work felt. Instead of adding complexity, the RCP stripped things back to fundamentals—respecting the body’s design and restoring balance rather than chasing symptoms. In the midst of personal and professional upheaval, this clarity reignited my sense of purpose as a physician.

Despite unexpected challenges along the way, I now feel more confident, hopeful, and aligned than at any other point in my career. The Root Cause Protocol has given me not just knowledge, but a blueprint—one rooted in science, humility, and service. I am deeply grateful to have found this work and this community, and I look forward to applying it for the benefit of patients and fellow providers seeking real answers.”

Ed P | The Root Cause Protocol helped with my Inflammaging

Steven H | The Root Cause Protocol helped with my Type 2 Diabetes

How long have you been following the Protocol?
2 months

What health issues/symptoms led you to the protocol?

Type 2 Diabetes

What changes have you seen in your health from starting/following the protocol?

I started Keto two and a half years ago following a Heart attack and learning that i was a Type 2 Diabetic. Had 2 stents inserted for heart blockages. Whilst in hospital post surgery I was immediately placed on a beta blocker & a statin. Also visited by a Diabetes nutritionalist advising how to control my Diabetes with the Diabetes Australia diet guidlines along with Metformin being prescribed twice a day. Being a fact based former business consultant i politely accepted the advice/ standard of care and went home and researched for myself what the facts were. I immediately threw the beta blocker & statin in the bin and employed Keto which i had done before so very familiar. Over the course of 3 months lost 40kg and also had thrown the Metformin in the bin. All these interventions were great but of course quite difficult to maintain. My HbA1C was constantly between 4.7 & 4.9 and blood markers within accepted parameters.
I stumbled across one of Morley’s interviews with Gut Guru’s on You Tube and learnt Morley’s RCP and his hypothesis that blood sugar control was largely a dysregulated metabolism via vitamins & minerals and that his view was that hormones don’t run the body. Well Insulin is a master hormone and always in the Diabetes dialogue. I learnt that Copper, Retinol & Magnesium were to be concentrated on along with Iron build up. I immediately signed up online and got the RCP handbook and implemented the stops & starts. Boom, within two weeks my daily sugars stabilised and after watching tens of similar You Tube interviews with Morley I finally saw & understood how we all have been misled & misfed. The other intervention i implemented after leaving hospital was to begin home brewed Kefir and thankfully chose raw Goats milk to use. Game changer. I also make Sugar Shift yoghurt and have been using extensively as well.

What is the most significant change you have experienced from the protocol?

Diabetes type 2 control. More energy

What would you say to someone who is considering RCP but unsure about starting the RCP?

A must do for all especially Type 2 Diabetics. I must say that of all the video’s i’ve watched he only mentioned glucose control once. That was the light bulb moment for me and really should be talked about a lot more as it seems that the targeted audience is for other things besides Diabetes.

“Those ‘discoveries’ about the role of iron, copper, ceruloplasmin (which I knew nothing about), vitamin D, were very valuable to me!
