RCP and copper: a change in philosophy

We've changed our mind about copper supplementation

There are some changes to the RCP’s approach when it comes to copper. Previously, you might have seen Morley discourage copper supplementation, whereas now, it’s included in the RCP handbook as part of the protocol.

Why is this?

This change in philosophy has been a very thoughtfully executed decision. The RCP is an ever-evolving body of findings, based on Morley’s research. With this comes new information and fresh perspectives. To access this new information and these fresh perspectives, you need the most recent version of the handbook. Access it by clicking here.

Morley’s research has uncovered that beef liver is perhaps not as copper-rich as we were previously led to believe. We have the poor quality of our soil to thank for that!

The importance of copper

The research overwhelmingly illustrates that copper must be supplied regularly to ensure optimal copper metabolism. Having copper in the environment and our bodies is essential for copper metabolism to work, yet it’s been disappearing for at least 60 years.
If copper is not present, copper enzymes degrade. There’s a whole cell breakdown, and that’s where the crisis begins.
This is from the RCP webinar we hosted discussing the importance of copper which you can find here.

If you have questions about Copper

If this information about copper is brand new to you, you probably have some questions. If that’s the case, please know that you’re not the only one! We’ve received a variety of different questions about copper since the findings of Morley’s research around copper have been rolled out. We’ve compiled a list of FAQs that you can read here.

Copper supplements

As more information came to light about the amount of copper available from the foods we eat, Morley explored a wholefood-based supplement (Recuperate) that contains additional copper, for those who feel that they might benefit from supplementing with additional copper.
In light of this change, we hosted a free event to answer our community’s Recuperate-specific questions. If this interests you, you can watch the replay on the link below.
If you’d like to explore copper even further, we recommend the RCP Premium Community for $9.97USD/mth or a consult with one of our trained RCPCs.
Thanks for your interest in the RCP; we’re really grateful that you’re willing to stay up-to-date as the research evolves.

A votre sante!
