The Peace Offering with Jonathan Rickert | Copper and Iron’s Role in Sex Hormone Regulation with Morley Robbins | September 19, 2023

In this interview, Morley explains the relationships between iron and copper and how they influence Estrogen, Progesterone, and Testosterone.

Here are the highlights:

  • Most people (including cycling women) have toxic levels of unbound iron – most especially men and postmenopausal women
  • No such thing as iron deficient anemia, only lack bioavailable copper
  • Glyphosate, high fructose corn syrup, sorbitol and fourth generation antibiotics all prevent copper absorption
  • Iron is the most abundant element on earth
  • Top 3 most oxidative elements on earth are Fluorine, Oxygen, Iron
  • We accumulate 1mg/day every day we’re alive
  • Oxidative stress, glycation, and iron accumulation are the 3 top theories of aging
  • Iron causes oxidative stress and glycation (AGE)
  • The only way to get iron out is through blood loss via donation, phlebotomy, or menstruation
  • In 1941 FDA required iron to be added to grains and doubled it in 1969. This is seen as “enriched” or “fortified” in the ingredient list
  • We replace 2 trillion RBCs every day and only takes 25mgs to do this
  • 24 of the 25 mgs is recycled by the Reticuloendothelial System which is governed by Ceruloplasmin, a copper-dependent protein
  • Under stress, humans lose large amounts of magnesium
  • Sodium and Potassium are needed to make cortisol and adrenaline precursors
  • Emotional stress (cortisol) is severely disruptive to mineral balance and increases iron toxicity by lowering Ceruloplasmin
  • In men, if testosterone is too high (from TRT), iron accumulates in the prostate and causes cancer
  • If ceruloplasmin is low, estrogen will increase to provide backup antioxidant support
  • Progesterone is often low due to a deficiency in magnesium and B6, caused by stress
  • If ceruloplasmin is optimized, magnesium is optimized
  • Xenoestrogens unbind copper from ceruloplasmin taking the iron recycling system offline

Nisa | The Root Cause Protocol Helped With My Anemia

Nisa | The Root Cause Protocol Helped With My Anemia

Hi everyone! I wanted to jump on here and share my success story. Hoping to encourage everyone to keep going!
My story is long so I’ll summarize!
I have been “anemic” most of my life due to a rare auto immune disease that I have. In my first pregnancy the anemia was really bad to the point where I was strongly encouraged to get iron infusions. Knowing better, I neglected what I knew and took the infusions anyways. Not long after I was diagnosed with ICP which is a somewhat rare liver condition in pregnancy causing me to have to be induced.
Postpartum was miserable and my liver never recovered. I actually ended up in the ER from anaphylactic shock becuase my liver could not process toxins. I did a few things with some local alternative doctors who helped me a lot in the interim. I then started the Weston A Price diet which has been a huge sucess for me, but I never got to the root cause of what is going on.
I then got pregnant again and was concerned everything would flair up again, I knew I had to get proactive as I never fully healed the first time.
I found an RCP healer, Jeanne Wilson, early on in this pregnancy who has been an absolute lifeline for me. She analyzed my hair analysis and bloodwork and put me on an RCP plan that was ideal for me. Here I am at 29 weeks, my iron is doing great, my liver is great, i feel fantastic. I could just cry with how incredible this journey has been. I have never in my life had bloodwork that wasn’t concerning.
I am still a work in progress but in just 7 months I’ve seen huge success in myslef where I have never seen success before. If you’re struggling and feeling defeated, don’t give up. Reach out to someone, this program is incredible, you can and will heal!
